Meter Change

Dear Sir,

I am a resident of 1043, sector-13, urban Estate, Karnal (Haryana).

This is in reference to the request we had submitted to Electricity Board office at Model Town, Karnal for meter change as it has been Dead for past 5 months. We have already submitted the complaint/ request twice but to no action. 15 days ago a person from the board came to conduct the survey on the electrical appliances in use but the meter has not been changed as yet. I was informed by a friend of mine that we have to pay bribe to the line man to get the meter and also buy a meter from outside then only he will change the meter otherwise no action will be taken. Kindly suggest a suitable solution or I have to bear the bribing expenses to get this situation solved...
