Passport delayed (5 months)

Sir/Madam,

My Wife has applied for the passport on 30th July We haven't received the passports yet, this is going to be 5 months now which beyond the turn around time of month provide by passport authority, we are facing difficulties as we need to travel in January, The status on passport site show " Police Report is clear. Application is under process", I don't know how much will it take, I have written so many complaints but all in vain, could you please help me in this regard as my career is at stake if I don't travel with my wife
