Delay in issue of Tatkal Passport

Respected Sir,

I am Swati Ghosh, a student from I.I.T Madras and had applied for tatkal passport on 20th Nov. My application number is MATI55775909SR0319 and my file no is A036896/09. I had received my passport on 3rd Dec but unable to use it because I had to go out of station due to some unavoidable circumstances in December during which I missed my police verification. On contacting the inquiry, I reapplied for police verification on 24th Jan which was finally done on 9th march. However I still did not get clearance for my passport though I applied under Tatkal scheme.

I have a summer internship in U.S in May for which I need to apply for Visa and I urgently require my passport clearance. Kindly assist me in this matter and if required give me an appointment day on which I could personally come and meet you. I hope you understand that my situation is urgent and I cannot miss the internship opportunity. I will be highly obliged for your help. Looking forward to your earliest reply.
