A) Is there any department under Mumbai Police wherein damage to vehicle caused due to someone else's utter rash driving is compensated?

b) All sorts of vehicles ply at all times on Mumbai roads and the traffic police seems to think of something else as their main job.

Twice I have been caught on arterial roads (being projected as main roads) where the number of men in while and khaki outnumber the requirement... and they charge money/book for lane changing if a right turn appears all of a sudden (even when I moved leftwards a good 15 - 20 ft before the signal)

These fellows either take bribe or the license away... isnt it a case of power not commensurate with their mental development or civic sense?
