Building Plan not sanctioned from 6 months

Most of the Urban Development Authorities we have in India today is just an arm of money making mechanism for Governments. GMADA (Greater Mohali Area Development Authority) is not an exception I am afraid. I bought a plot in Gulmohar City, Kharar in April and submitted building plan in May but it has not been sanctioned till date. When I started investigation on it I found many irregularities by Municipal Committee, Kharar, Punjab.

I have visited Municipality office many times for my building plan status but no one even bothers to answer. One day I was told that the plan is still under consideration as there is a Kharar Master Plan has been implemented. When I asked officers as why the Colonizer was given the license to develop the colony and how did he able to sale 90% of the plots, they had no answer. They always say that we are in sync with Punjab Chief Minister to amend the master plan which has not happened from the last 6 months.

I am more astonished by the attitude of the PIO Municipal Committee. It has been more than 60 days and there is no reply of my RTI.

This is a clear case of corruption where Colonizer was able to purchase the license and developed a colony knowing that it comes on the 200 ft wide road as per the Master Plan. Where was the Municipality when Colonizer was enjoying the hefty worth by selling plots at unrealistic price.

It is my story of being victimized by the Government officials. Now think of those who are handicapped, aged and many other who have to pay bribe for getting their work done every time.

1 thing for sure that I will never give up and continue to fight against our rotten system.
