Unsafe Safety Measures in Building Construction

The Karnataka Housing has not installed any safety measures in the Apartments build by them in Surya City. All the Safety Regulations have been thrown to wind by them. Allthough they have put fire alarm, phone in the lift none of them are working. The residents have been stuck many times in the lift with no one to help them & no way to get out. This too in a place where old people are also staying. Apart from this there is no backup of qualified personnel or generator to help the people stuck in the lift. Despite several complaints there is no improvement.

It seems that the government authorities have also turned a blind eye towards the unsafety mechanisms while giving go ahead to the project. This is a blatant example of how corruption can make things go around in India endangering the lives of poor citizens.
