MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

(I saw the Advertisement in Mumbai Mirror classified reading CANCER Patients NGO. Freshers welcome, MBA, HR executive 15K-25K... that is for those who dont understand 15000-25000 pm...) Im reading this advertisement for the past 10 days. Interesting isn't it. Actually its more interesting once you get there.

I go to this branch (I will not mention for my safety) but yes for those who do not want to trust me please do not believe I cannot force anybody to believe, you can go and you can go and see it for yourself.

I call the number on the advertisemnt, I get a message on my cell with the address to where i have to go.

I reach the office on time. The interview is taken by a female and she asked me to wht are my expectations.

(Well for everybody to know- I am a double graduate and yes I am very confident in communications skilland am looking for an HR profile). I was basically drawn to the whole charity motive and didnt expect a big package as the whole thing is for charity.)

Con't... I said, My first pay was 25000... and the lady taking my interview interuppted and said..OKkk 25000PM will be ur pay. And if you are good it cud go to 50000 to 75000PM depending on your performance. SHOCKING AN NGO OUT FOR CHARITY PAYING ITS PEOPLE SALARY LIKE THIS.

I asked her what performance... THAT YOU WILL KNOW IN THE TRAINING WHICH IS FOR 2 MONTHS

Fair enough. She signed me in for the training the next day 9.00 am to 6.00PM.

I reached for the so called training. Young girls, graduates and under graduates all lured with the money factor were signing in for the training. I got into the room.

All girls, donno why... I wonn't say it is Women empowerment but I strongly feel it is to use them, their sex appeal to get money into the firm, the reasons which now are unkown.

The training started, Girls shouting slogans and talking about filling in the targets set for this month.

The star of the day was a set of team of 3 who got 11000 for the previous day and everybody clapped.

They all left for their respective fieldwork, --which was fund collection.

I had signed in for the post of HR exec--my current position wht they say is Relationship manager--this was not what i expected, I hope anybody here know the difference in the profile. And they said after my 2 month training i will be promoted as a branch manager. I clarified abt the 50000-75000PM to another person of the organisation and she said " I know it is too good to be true but the growith potential is not told to everyone, only those we see promising are told abt the money u wud get in future."

I leave with my respective team of 3 to the field (which i still dont know wht it is), which they have not yet disclosed to wht i will be doin.

i go to the station the Team leader takes the ticket and tells me its a surprise..well i thought i will be meeting my trainer r sumthing... we reach the particular station and get down ..took a rickshaw and went to the shanti nagar* (name changed) and the TL takes us to a building saying she has to meet an aunty.

I ask her do you have an appointment with her. She says yes . the aunty told her yesterday to meet her today. So I thought OK that is professional and went with her.

We got to the building and met the aunty and she gave her conribution and receipt was given.

Till now I had no idea to wht we were goin in for ..

The next the TL take me and another girl to the next building. he watchman asks us whom we want to see.

The TL says ' Sharma' I replied, Girl you don't know any Sharma how r u gettin in. She wispers, she read the name on the name board. Smart! i said. We go to the top floor and the TL rings the bell. The resident opens and she introduces herself, 'Hello im from global vision an NGO would you like to contribute something for this great cause."

I thought of the TL " Why don't you contribute your salary dear", This girl actually is leading a team of three door to door for collecting money showing photograph of a cancer patient if im to beleive alive r dead donno, there is a doctors prescription xerox which is not attested, which any fraud can make and is going about collecting money.

I really feel if they can pay me 25000PM and they run daily advertisemnt for hiring upto 100 people m sure wud be all girls..r atleast most... with an avg of 15000 rs (15000 *100) 15, 00, 000 Rs. and the existing crew gets paid anything for (25000 to 100000 PM). Thay are making crores and crores and what they have distributed are in lakhs. So I have a feeling that they are benefitting in crores and giving out charity in lakhs.

I somehow didnt go to work the next day I QUIT because the whole NGO thing seemed irrelevant.

I HAVE SEEN SMALL KIDS COMING AT MY DOORSTEP AND I USED TO CONTRIBUTE. NOW YOU WILL SEE MBA'S AND GRADUATES, LACKING brains and drawn by a common factor -NOT CHARITY BUT MONEY (MONTHLY PACKAGES 15000-75000pm)
