Non-refund of maintainance fund to Society

The owners of DUs at Akurdi (Pune) were compelled to pay onetime maintenance money to IRWO Delhi at the time of taking possession of DUs. IRWO decided to refund the money to holders of DUs incourse of time but subsequently withdrew from their decision. Members approached the consumer court at Mumbai. The Hon. Court has ruled that the decision to refund maintenance fund held by IRWO should be taken after the decision of Maharashtra Govt where the appeal filed by IRWO of two Society registeration is pending. The Hon. Minister of co-operative Societies has confirmed the registeration of two Societies & dismised the appeal filed by IRWO against the formation of two Societies. Despite the orders of the court the IRWO has not taken the decision of refunding the ammount to the two societies
