Malpractice at petrol pump

I am writing this mail with respect to a serious foul play which I have experienced on 11-12 at the Indian Oil Petrol Pump Dealer "Gururaghavendraswamy fuel station", Anchepalya, Mysore Road (TIN No.29360485105).

I requested for filling diesel for Rs.1000/- in my citibank credit card account. The fuel filling staff while filling the fuel distracted my attention by making much hurry in the pretext of asking for the credit card. I trusted them; but while I handed over the card, the operator of the diesel delivering machine quickly manipulated the meter so that it immediately read Rs.1000/-, but actually filled only about Rs.700/- worth diesel. My car Fuel/Odometer reading also confirmed this. This, I am forced to belive, the staff of the said pump do with many customers like me.

For an organization like IOL which has recently celebrated its Golden Jubilee Year, it is highly disgraceful to have dealers employing staff indulging in such malpractice. Vigilance officers of the IOL Corporation should make surprise checks to book the culprits and to save the image of this largest and India's most prestigeous publc sector oil company.
