Battery Charging Problem

We bought a Micromax X550 mobile set from M/s Sekhri & Sons, Meerut vide Cash Memo No. 28/1353 dt. 02.01.2011 for Rs. 4400/-

In June it stopped charging the battery. I took it to the company service centre and they deposited the battery with a promise to replace the same within a week. After rigrous follow up of a month they gave me a old battery in July.

Again in Aug the same problem cropped up and I took the set to service centre (0121-4059256) on 07.08.2011 vide Job Order No. CCM-9998. This time I was told that they need to repair the set and deposited my hand set. I am regularly following with them for the set but even after almost a month I have not recieved the set. Every time I call the service centre they say that it will be delivered after 10 days.

I believe they want to lapse the so called warranty period and get absolved of the responsibility.
