Blackberry Plan on Prepaid

I just bought a prepaid sim to use with my bb 8900.. i send the activation msg to 121, n get a reply, if you are a prepaid customer, try again after 24 hrs. or call customer care.

N when i do that.. they say that bb plan cannot be activated on prepaid sims..

How in the world is that possible?? there site clearly says for prepaid users as well.
