Unsolicited messages to our mobile telephone 94464 48272

Dear Sirs:

Our mobile phone 9446448272 has been provided by Cell One or BSNL. The phone is in continuous business use since we are engaged in import/export trade. The phone is being peppered with unsolicited messages interrupting our business engagements and activities. We get calls even in the middle of the night disturbing our sleep.

The offending messages always emanate from the following sources:--

Identification on phone browser: BT59595 - phone No. 919442299997

Identification on phone browser: 58558 - phone No. 919442299997

Identification on phone browser: 55352 - phone No. 919442199997.

Moreover, when we call these phone numbers the next minute after we receive the message (s), we hear a recording that "the number is not in use". How is this possible?

Is the service provider, i.e. the BSNL, not the controlling authority for the services they have provided? Do they allow such unlimited freedom to these unsolicited intruders of the citizen's normal life?

I registered a complaint No. 94464448272260510 to bar these messages; this was through 1909 which is an automated complaint registry of the BSNL.

I had also earlier complained to Mr P R Jayapalan, AGM (Op), o/o PGMT, BSNL Bhavan, Ernakulam, Kochi 68 on his telephone No. (484) 2377900.

Till now, no remedy has been effected, and the menace has now extended itself even late in the night at 11:50 pm and so on.

Is any remedy possible through your Institution?
