Did not receive the promised talktime

The information on Idea's website and also on its customer care recharge calculator shows that I would get Rs. 36.08 as Talktime on recharging with Rs. 42 but I got no talktime except a "useless" (for me) discount on my local call rates.

How can the service provided by Idea be different than what it promises on its website and customer care recharge calculator. This is clear case of cheating.

Expected Talktime: Rs. 36.08

Received: Talktime = Rs. 0.00

Instead I got some discount on call rates.

Customer Care executives say that the only new customers can get Rs. 36.08 on recharging with Rs. 42 and that for old customers the plan has been changed with effect from 8th Jan and it would take time to reflect the change on website and customer service.

But is this a valid reason for this case?
