Number discontinued

My wife was having a mobile number of IDEA. Recently we found that the SIM is not warking. On enquiry it was informed that her number is dicontinued and alloteed to some one else, under the pretext of TRAI gudilines that, phone was not operational for more than 20 days.

It was a prepaid number, the SIM was issued for life time and there was balance in the number.

How the compny can forfit our amount? Is it not loot of the consumer? If some isout side for a long time will he/she be required to take new number and again communucate to all? On complainet on 19/8 at 5.15 pm to to Company on 07314031414t the executive informed that the TRAI (the Telephone Regulatery Authority of India) has Authorise them to do so? When life time SIM was issued, how it can be discontinued? Why TRAI has not raised the objection when it was issued? The executive was behaving like they have permission for the loot, s it Justifiable? This way the companies are becoming rich by looting the consume
