False commitments

I approached Parle Point Idea Cellular office and asked for International roaming for my visit in Angola in the month of November.

Responsible person (Ekta Shah) confirmed that Idea Cellular has tie-up with mobile service Provider "UNITEL" in Angola so my requirement can be full filled.

She asked me following;

1. Convert my Pre-paid connection to post paid connection

2. Take new SIM for post paid connection and pay Rs. 200 for that

3. Pay Rs.3000 as deposite

4. All the other documents like Res Proof, ID Proof, Photo, Residence verification, etc...

I did everything and satisfied all their requirement/

She Confirmed and committed that within 24 hr my international roaming will be active.

Then after two days they confirmed that International roaming is active.

However, when I landed in Angola, I was neither able to make a call or receive a call.

International roaming was never activated and it never worked.

During my one month stay in Angola;

1. I made 100s of ISD calls to Idea to get International roaming

2. I wrote many E-mail to get International roaming

Despite of my all efforts, I never got International roaming mobile connectivity.

When I have asked UNITEL in Angola they said that they do not have any tie-up with Idea-India.

Because of this false commitment;

1. I was not having any connectivity with my near and dear ones; as a result it was sever harassment

2. I was not able to keep contact with my Business so I made loss of Rs.500000.

3. I lost major tender as I could not keep contact with potential business.

Expected:

Idea cellular must penalise for their false commitments

and

I should get compensation for the sufferings.
