Radiation Hazard from Cell Towe

Dear Sir/Madam:

This is to bring to your kind notice that BSNL has installed six sectoral antennas on the roof top of our main building (which is low rise) for GSM mobile communication. The radiation from these high power antennas is very high, we have measured this using Radiation detector Detex 189 as recommended by Prof Girish Kumar from IIT Bombay. Such a high level of radiation from these antennas in the Institute campus is surely hazardous to our health as some of us are already developing problems such as headaches, sleep disorders, poor memory, mental excitation, confusion, anxiety, depression, appetite disturbance and listlessness etc. We informed to BSNL officers and already written to the GMTD also for reducing the power level of these antennas and placing them on a separate mast of sufficient height. However they are not cooperating in spite of several requests.

Kindly take some urgent necessary action in this regards so as to save us from Radiation Hazard.
