Unregistered Without Mandate

I registered through Vodafone for DND some time in May. I had since been spared by purveyors of Promotional messages - that is till around Jan 24 since when I began to receive SMSes & promotional phone calls from promoters of everything from insurance to "servant providers".

WHen I contacted VOdafone, they assured me that number was still registered with NDNC. But to my surprise a check at the official NDNC site (http://nccptrai.gov.in/nccpregistry/search.misc) showed my number was no longer registered under DND.

Just how do such things happen? I don't wish to post my number here, but I am willing to provide the number to any agency that

can get to the bottom of this thing.
