Wanted to dead the phone

Last month on 26th march I lost a Nokia phone which I wanted to dead it by the help of the imei no given by Nokia, but they did not do it. I went to Spencer plaza chennai mount road nokia service centre but they refused to do it and they wanted a fir, for which I need to spend another 2000rs, I left it as I have lost a phone of 8000rs, and could nt spend more. I request the consumer court to please help me to get my phone dead by the Nokia service provider as I had lot of important information in it. Thankyou
