I had an airtel postpaid connection for almost 20 months... my every month bill use to be an average around 850/- around 600 more than the rental..i paid this all the time since i spoke for those minutes... but then during mid of January i used my wi-fi mobile to access my broadband i did this for two days without any other devices being used on my only wifi... after two days i got a message stating my unbilled amount which hiked up about 1500/- than the previous amount which was sent to me couple of days ago..
I immediately called CC and explained the issue and informed them prior where the problem might and they understood and they said not to worry i will not be charged..i informed them very early almost couple of weeks earlier before the bill would be generated..i clearly mentioned them that they mistaken that i have used my gprs but wherein i was really using my broadband..i kept reminding them but everybody said they'll take care..but no body did because my bill was way too high... i called them said about the complaints i have raised explanations i gave before the problem they said it will be resolved they said it will be taken care they asked me to send a mail i have even send a screen shot of the two dates at which both my broadband and mobile details shows the data downloaded spoke with appellate send mail to couple of other people i was stating them i would not pay the bill until my complaint has been solved and my bill gets recalculated they said they'll solve the issue they made me run through all their departments none helped... lot of floor managers and executives harassing me and speaking rudely and saying i have no other go other than to pay the amount were the final things to happen..
i waited for 2 to 3 months then got pissed off and threw away the connection unfortunately all the details i had about this problem got deleted when my phone got formatted... now after 3 months i receive call from airtel stating i have to pay the amount of 4700/- his person who contacted me doesn't even know what my issue was i had to explain him again that would have been the 150th time i was explaining the issue he was not even letting me to go in to the office he was so blunt on his duty... he was agreeing to deduct the amount and asked me to pay 3178/- which twice than what i would have used the mobile for after the issue occurred i said after all i have gone through for past three months and getting humiliated i said i would not pay... and he said i have to face the legal issues..i said ok ill..
then after two days the airtel traced my call history when i used their mobile service and called all the numbers i called at that time and threatened them asking about me telling me as fraud to everyone is this the legal way of facing the issue..do they have authority to access one's personal records and use it for their purpose without their permission and saying as my friend and calling me fraud... they are threatening me saying that they, ll put me in jail... i knew what civil and criminal law is but then i can pay the amount but the true amount for which i have used the services not before they compensate me through proper apologies and money for the harassment and humiliation i have gone through before and after the issue... tell me if i am wrong some where i am just trying to acquire my rights as a consumer..guide me if i am wrong
