Harassing phone calls

I have been receiving harassing phonecalls from some Airtel & Hutch numbers. The person on the other end seldom speaks, but if they do they ask for someone who doesn't really exist. Even after repeatedly telling them that such a person does not have access to my phone, I keep getting such calls even in the middle of the night. It may be that some youngsters think this is a funny thing to do, but it disturbs my sleep to no avail.

I thought of going to Hutch (my service provider) to bar incoming calls from those numbers but they say that they cannot help me. Next I thought I could complain to Airtel (perpetrators' service provider) and get them to do something about it; but no they said - Nothing without a police complaint and FIR.

Please tell me that there's an easier way to do this! It's my number. I should be able to choose and ignore some phone numbers if I wish so. Can anything be done??

I am losing my health due to sleepless nights.
