Dear Madam/Sir

This is in reference to the Mobile No. 91 99400 54589, post paid connection and I had received a bill (No.418168942 dated feb 12) for inr 5052.11 and dismayed to note that on Value added Service column, charged me inr 3094.40 in which mobile Internet -volume alone charged inr 2855.40.

I had taken up with the Air-tel office and asked them on what basis as I had not availed that service (mobile internet)., especially as I have broad-band services both at home and office.

I had requested them to clarify the timings and to my surprise its all between mid-night early hours upto 0500 hrs. I argued with the customer service that there is no need for me to use the mobile internet at late hours especially when I could enjoy broad band services available. Further I clarified to them that mobile is on single usager system and I have no business transaction at late hours and I advised them if this matter is not taken up for corrective action, would lodge complaint with consumer forum.

In order to ensure that I do not go into defaulter list as otherwise my complaint will be diluted., I went to the nearest air-tel collection office and paid (vide cheque on 22 feb) inr 5052.11 UNDER PROTEST But the office did not accept my under-protest letter and advised me to take up customer service as they do not have authority to accept any letter.

Then after a day, customer service contacted me and informed that management has approved to give a discount of inr 1000/- from the subject bill as a consideration.

I informed that matter was not dealt fairly as in the first instance, charging of inr inr 2855.40 is not justified and where is the question of air-tel consideration for a discount of inr 1000/-

NOW I REQUEST YOU TO REGISTER MY COMPLAINT AND EARNESTLY REQUEST YOU TO REPRESENT MY CASE FOR A FULL REFUND OF INR 2855.40 INSTEAD OF INR 1000/-.

PLEASE ADVISE ME IF ANY ADDITIONAL INFO REQUIRED FROM MY END
