On 31st August I E-recharged my mobile phone 9810775656 (Delhi number) with MRP Rs.498 and the talk time given in the confirmation SMS was Rs.451.50, but this balance was not showing in the service message. When contacted, Airtel customer care says that this has been put in my dedicated account 5, and that this balance will be visible when I dial *123*5# because this was recharged under some scheme and that this amount is valid till 9th september, that is, all the balance to be used within 10 days from date of recharging. Funniest part is, that the shop from where I recharged also feigned ignorance about any such scheme.

In Airtel website there is no mention of dedicated account or anything like that. How can a company fleece the customers like this?

Who is going to look into this and take corrective action? I am sure many more people must be suffering because of this kind of unfair tactics adopted by Airtel.
