Non-issue of receipt for amount paid

Sir My Airtel prepaid mobile phone 9849510004 was lost a couple of days ago. I approached Airtel relations center, Habsiguda, Hyderabad today for a duplicate sim card. One of the persons at the desk took a photocopy of my Id proof, checked up the phone No and informed me, to my utter surprise, that the said telephone was in the name of one Mr; Sudheer and not mine. When I pleaded that it was mine and I have been using it since he took Rs 100 and issued a sim card without issuing any receipt for it. He said that the sim would be activated by tomorrow evening. HIs action gave rise to suspicion in my mind as:

i) normally Rs 25 is charged for a duplicate sim (ii) no document was filled in by me requesting duplicate sim (iii) receipt was not given for the amount taken and pocketed by him.

Kindly let me know whether the above transaction was genuine in the wake of the facts given above and if there is anything against the rules of Airtel please take necessary action against the erring person and do justice to me. I beleived him and came back with the sim card without insisting on acknowledgement/receipt, as I was having some tension due to some personal problems. Thank you, Sincerely, A. Ramamohanrao
