Discontinuation of Service of Airtel Mobile

Dear Sir/Madam:

I had purchased an Airtel Sim card for a consideration of Rs.100/- from a local dealership at Defence Colony, near "C" block market who are operating the dealership services from a shop named "Bombay Chicken". In this regard, i have submitted all the requisite documents i.e., duly filled up enrollment form, a passport size photograph and my ID proof. A man named Neelu, who is dealing with the services assured me that my services would be regularized within half an hour. And indeed it was regularized within half an hour. However, after two days i started receiving sms from Airtel Prepaid service provider from the message center bearing No.9810051736 stating that "As per Govt. directives we have to discontinue the services to your Airtel Mobile as we have not received your Airtel Prepaid Enrollment Form. Kindly contact Airtel Relationship Center or dealer from where you purchased your Airtel Mobile immediately".

Thereafter, i had been to the concerned dealer and asked him to submit the Enrollment Form and showed him the smses which i had received from Airtel Prepaid services. He assured me that he would take prompt action. Nevertheless, today i.e., August 14, i found that my Airtel services has been discontinued. I again went to the concerned dealer and told him about the discontinuation of my Airtel services. Upon doing so the dealer namely, Neelu spoke to one Mr. Sandeep Mittal who is the concerned person at the distribution center located at Green Park, near Archini, New Delhi. I also spoke to him and requested him to take immediate action restore my Airtel services, but he extremely rude and pay little attention to my distress. He straight away refused to take any action and said that he would be able to do if anything at all, on Monday i.e., August 16. I kept on requesting him as well as the dealer to kindly restore my Airtel services and/or to take immediate steps towards that end. But, they paid no head to whatever request i made.

I being an Advocate require regular services so that my clients can be in touch with me. The aforesaid discontinuation of Airtel service is not only affecting my professional dealing as well as causing tremendous harassment not to mention anxiety.

I would request you to take prompt action against the distributor as well as the dealer so that they cannot swindle any other honest individual who might approach them for their services.
