Airtel World Calling Card not working in US - asks for card number and PIN

I bought an Airtel World Calling card for Rs 500 from Chennai airport on 27th May.

Yesterday 28th May, from USA - I tried to make calls to India, but could not. As per the instructions, I dialed the US access number (1-800-888-8000) and I am getting a message to enter the card number and a PIN. But I don't see any PIN number mentioned anywhere in the card/instructions. I tried entering the card number (which we see after scratching the covered portion) but does not work. It takes me to the MCI operator and the person says this card does not work here and I have to get back to where I bought the originally from.

I don't see any other customer care number to call from here in US.

From a reputed organization like Airtel - I never expected a product like this! I am very unhappy. I don't know, how to get back my Rs 500 which I paid for this card...
