SUB: REFUND FOR RS 21, 000/- : SRI LANKA TOUR
Sir,
1. Refer to our telephonic talk on 12th Dec regarding my father being seriously ill therefore, booking in respect of my mother for Sri Lanka tour be cancelled. Your staff confirmed the same. On 16th Dec my father expired and same was communicated to your office by a letter dated 29th Dec 10, wherein a copy of death certificate was also sent to you. Assurance was given to me that our ticket for the tour has been put on hold and the moment you come back from outstation (Jalandhar), refund will be given to you.
2. To my surprise, on 13th Jan 11, your office called on my cell and explained me the cancellation policy wherein they informed that no refund is possible, only your amount can be adjusted in the next trip. I would like to mention that neither this policy was explained to me by your representative at the time of taking advance nor copy was given to me.
3. Therefore, it is requested that without any further delay a refund for Rs. 21, 000/- be immediately rendered. Subject issue has already been referred to Consumer Redressal Forum, vide 258226 dated 13 Jan 11.
4. If matter is not resolved amicably, within 10 days, issue will be referred to Consumer Court. All correspondence on the subject henceforth will be dealt in writing.
