Very substandard quality of equipment and service

I had purchased 5 Airtel DTH connections for my residential use on August 2nd 2009. However, since then I have been having many problems with the Set Top Boxes supplied. In the last six months many problems have been reported to Airtel DTH Customer Care.

Firstly, they call back and fix a time they would come to rectify the problems and then they don't turn up.

Bigger problem is the number of times the problems occur. Some of my Set Top Boxes have been changed two to three times in first six months only.

I am worried that once the warranty period of 1 year finishes, then they would ask for payment for a new set top box each time one fails along with engineer visiting charges. This would be a very costly proposition.

All problems because of very low quality of service and equipment by Airtel.
