I have taken an Airtel Digital connection in the month of October on the customer ID no. 3006015442. On 16th July I encountered with the problem of No signal (error code B001) which I reported to Airtel technical team of same day. After my compliant report on 16th July no action was taken from Airtel technical team. Because of my continuous follow up Engineer visit happened on 24th July with a delay of Eight Days. On that day, Engineer fixed up the system but certain channel (like Discovery, National Geographic) were having the same no signal problem and certain channels were visible with distorted picture but Airtel technician gave a reply that it is because of bad weather. He charged Rs. 100/- for the service and no receipt was provided by him stating that it is the company’s policy. I am amazed that can Airtel have such kind of unlawful practices.
But After that waiting for one month my signal problem was not resolved so I again raised a concern to Airtel technical team by calling on Airtel call center on 22.08.2011 and till now no engineer visit has happened to my place. During the period of ten days from 22.08.2011 till today, I came cross with following series of unfriendly experiences, towards which I would like to draw Airtel kind attention.
Fake commitments – During the period, I talked with four of executives of escalation department who committed me that they will resolve the problem and give me a call back. None of the executives has given any call back.
Closure of complaint without resolving – After registering my complaint, I get a message from Airtel stating registration of my complaint and to my surprise, after some time, I again get a message that my problem is resolved that to without engineer visit to my site. It has happened four times in the period.
Incorrect Engineer Number – The technician number mentioned in my all complaint registration messages was also not correct. When I call on that number a reply is got “ mein Airtel ka kaam six months pehle chod diya tha mujhe dubara call mat karna”. I reported this to Airtel call center but no action was taken.
Arrogant and Unhelpful behavior of Airtel executives – Many times I requested Airtel escalation department executives to connect me with higher officials but they refused to do so stating that this is the maximum level of customer resolution hierarchy.
Now after a series of calls to Airtel customer care center, I am of the opinion that my problem is very small to draw the attention of Airtel busy executives and it left me with only option to write a letter to you with a hope that you will definitely help me to resolve my problem.
