I have a post paid Air tel mobile connection No. 9897006228 of which one time rental of Rs.998 was paid by me on the advice of Airtel (Rs. 1500 vide receipt no.11655 dated 16 May). The advance payment and the change of plan was done so that my connection does not get disconnected during my visit to USA and the service is available to me as long I am in India and on my arrival in India (IGI Airport Delhi). However on my arrival at Delhi airport on 6th night 2009 to my great dismay I found that my mobile connection is inoperative. Air Tel Dehradun told me that my mobile has been disconnected due to non payment of dues amounting to Rs. 781. I immidiately made the pay ment on 7th September vide receipt no.167273. Till date (14th September) the connection has not been restored. No one lifts the telephone, and I had to persionally visit the office in Patel Nagar Dehradun number of times. On 14 th September I am told that the connection will be restored within 48 hours (On demand company represented has given it in writing.) I tried to contact the costumer care on No. 9897012345 but no responce (no one picked the phone). I have Airtel connection for last four years and I have never faulted in payment. The delay this time was due to my visit to USA and the advance payment made by me falling short inspite of my not using the connection from 29 May till date. I had carried the mobile and the sim with me hence no possiblity of any one else using the connection. I would have preferred to discontinue the connection, but for my having made one time annual rental. If the Air tel returns my payment I will prefer to surrender the connection and opt for some responcible service provider.
