Charged more than MRP

I was charged Re 1/- extra on the MRP for 'Slice' soft drink on 13 May at 1840 hrs in Bake n Cake located opposite Koramangala Bus Depot (# 466, 80 Feet Road, Koramangala, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560095

080 41501605)‎ . The shopkeeper is saying that it is charged for cooling. This kind of thing happening in a village is still understandable even though not ethical. But in the heart of the city, such things shouldn't be encouraged. It's not about the money but the ethics of it that hurts me. It is a bakery and not a restaurant or a pub to charge me extra. Cake n Shop makes brisk business as people waiting for buses tend to drop in. This attitude shows an inherent greediness in the shopkeeper's attitude and disregard for the laws of the country.

This is not a special case as there are many bakeries in Bangalore involved in the same thing. In fact one shop in Ulsoor was asking for Rs 2/- extra for cooling. A strong message has to be given to these people who keep making a fool of us consumers. There is no point in having an MRP if such a situation prevails.

Please help us consumers out.
