SHORTAGE OF REFUND

Sir,

This has refence to my earlier mail dt.19.6.2010 on the subject matter. The details are given below again.

We booked an e-ticket in Train No.6327 for travel on 21.5.2010 from Coimbatore to Ernakulam by III tier A/C (PNR No.6437854676) But the train which was scheduled for 8:00 hrs did not arrive till 16.00 hrs on that day and the train seemed to have been cancelled due to heavy rains in Andhra. We filed TDR on 23.5.2010 vide Transaction ID 0199969845 and the TDR was approved on 31.5.2010 and we have received a refund of Rs.620/- only i.e. 50% of the original fare which was Rs1244/-. In the TDR rules full refund is permitted incase the train is late or cancelled. But we have received only 50% refund. Kindly clarify and do the needful.

Kindly clarify why there is shortage in refund.
