Defective chapal replacement

I have purchased a foot wear (ROMANO) from M/S BATA INDIA LTD BATA SHOE STORE -THADATHIL BUILDINGS T.B.ROAD THIRUNAKKAARA KOTTAYAM.KERALA. (Phone # 0481-2565063) on 14th October. Surprisingly when I was walking down my office lane the upper part of the foot wear has detached from the sole and it became difficult for me to complete my journey any more. This has inflicted me with great shame and mental strain since the friends and public visited my office began to laugh at me.

The embarrassing situation occurred only because of your product, which I had put in high esteem. I still earnestly believe that BATA products are manufactured with the utmost care and stringent quality control.

I believe that this is a clear case of manufacturing defect. However when I pointed out this matter with your dealer in kottayam from where I purchased the article he told me that he will make arrangements to get it repaired. But it is not acceptable since the product is brand new and repairing it will damage the performance and look of the product, more over I have every right to claim a replacement under consumer protection law.

In light of the above facts I am to request you to redress my grievance by giving strict direction to the local dealer to replace the damaged footwear with a brand new one of my choice at the earliest. Any delay in replacing the defective one will lead me to approach appropriate forums to get my grievance redressed.
