Did not recieved Free gift Vouche

I have purchased a notebook compaq 510 with free gift voucher & i did all the necessary process for claiming that gift within given time limit..

they have accepted my registration for that gift also & i sent all the proof of purchase..

after three months company tells that the offer was finished ..

what is this all

is it a way of selling product as good company?

if company like compaq (HP) do so then i never recomend others to purchase any product of such company...
