INDIRA GANDHI NATIONA OPEN UNIVERSITY
REFUND OF FEE

I applied for Post Graduation Diploma in Radio Prasaran (PGDRP) course in this university in June. My roll no.is 096402894. The regional centre is at porvorim and study centre is at miramar. I have paid Rs.8900/- by draft. Challan No.001992.

It was published in prospectus that i will receive my studymaterial by post but in reality it was not so. I personally had to receive it and that too my half study material. Student also receive a Programme guide which i didnt received.

There are counselling sessions for general courses. But i didnt receive any counselling dates from the centre. When I asked about it I was told that classes cant be taken as I am only student for the course. They told me that it is mention in the programme guide that counselling may not be compulsory. But how can i Know it as I didnt receive it?

My question is how can university enroll a single student if it cannot effort a counsellor. I was taken for granted by the university. This is a complete new subject for me so, I couldnt study of my own. In this course there are practicals and till date I have not received my dates from the centre. I was told that I will receive a letter regarding my counselling and practical dates. Now when the exam forms are already came and gone the university is demanding late fee of Rs.300/- How can I answer my exams without study material and counselling? It is not my mistake that I am a single student for the course.

university must mention such thing in prospectus itself and not in their programme guide which student receive after paying and getting admitted. If it was mentioned in prospectus i wouldnt have paid the fees and entered for course.

So, i request to please help me to receive my refund from the university because as per my knowledge this is mistake of the university.
