Defective Clocks & Pathetic Front Desk

I had pruchased a clock from Fotofast, Hadapsar, Pune. They print your photograph on it and sell. It looks good. So me and my wife purchsed one. We had to wait for over one hour to see a preview. And got the delivery. Within two weeks the clock stopped working. I changed battery but it was of no use. Leave it hanging on the wall and it stops after an hour.

I went to the shop after two weeks to ask for a replacement/ repair. But the way I was treated by their illiterate/ lousy sales girls angered. The following gives an account of how they dealt with me:

1> When I said the clock has stopped working she replied saying "Toh" (So what?)!!!

2> I hadn't even asked for a replacement or repair, she just dismissed me saying we don't entertain any complaints

3> When I lost my cool and started shouting instead of begging she said reach our customer care

4> Since it was evening the customer care number was switched/ went unanswered

5> When I asked her, her name, she said she doesn't tell her name. Then she answered that her name is Rashmi (disn't give me any card)

6> I reached their customer care this morning, they say two weeks is a long time and they can't replace the clock! phew!

My inferences from this experience and appeal to other customers of Fotofast:

1> The clocks Fotofast sells for Rs. 399 are worth Rs. 150 outside sans the image that they print.

2> Even a shopkeeper selling a clock for Rs.150 would give a 6 months warranty.

3> Do not buy these clocks at any cost from fotofast.

4> The high handedness of their front desk is highly objectionable. The sales girls there behave as though they are katrina's siblings.

5> My appeal: boycott Fotofast. Use the unbranded nukkad wala photoshop instead.
