Bad Sevice- Non avalibility of spares

Subject: Failure of IFB Product sold by you on 26th July

Dear Sir,

You have sold on 26th July one IFB WM DIGITAL 7 KG DIRECT DRIVE front loading washing machine bearing Serial Number: 40360464, Batch: 000464 to me for Rs. 32500/- On or about 28th September the machine stopped working, for which a complaint was launched with you and the companies official service station at Complain ID no. 7260416.

A service engineer from company came and inspected the machine and identified the problem as PCB failure and said they did not have it in ready stock in pune. On rigorous follow up with the service station and the Banglore office response was not at all affirmative but negative. One of the Engineer in fact made an irresponsible statement stating that why are you calling Banglore office, you call us the office is unnecessarily harassing us. Ultimately I was assured that the PCB is received and your machine will be in working condition within eight hours but regret it did not till date.

Your person also gave me certain numbers of Mr. B.M. Prashant, Mr. Ramprasad but was of no use contacting them. Mr. B.M. Prashant had assured me he will look into the matter and arrange the spares in 24 hours and in the mean time keep in abeyance approaching the consumer forum.

I had heard about IFBs bad service but respected the quality. But today am experiencing this failure product and bad service.

Since you and IFB have failed to compile with your assurance of 4 years 100% warranty and10 years spare part support, at the time selling the product I have been forced to approach the consumer forum. You are requested to collect the washing machine from my premises at your cost, refund the entire amount paid along with interest @ 36% p.a and equal the amount paid as compensation for the hardship and mental torture caused to my family.
