Under Warranty but dont repai

I have purchased a mobile hand set on 20/12/10. On 01.09.2011 the hand set goes off and does not switched on. The hand set is under warranty till 20/12.

I shown it in a Nokia Care. The technician dismantle all components of hand set and said that the hand set is liquid damaged. It is repairable on chargeable basis and cost is 1550/-. Though my set is clean and there is no extinguisher of water.

They are denying the warranty and demanding the charge.
