Defective Set

Sir,

On 05.02.2009 I purchased an Onida V100 cellular handset for use. The handset cost me Rs 1350/- and was bought from 'Suruchi Electronics' at Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar. Needless to say that the said electronics shop is quite reputed and as the product belonged to Onida company I had no doubt about its quality. However, to my surprise the set started giving trouble from the day one and within one month I was forced to complain before 'Suruchi Electronics'. Thereafter I was given another set bearing number 85776020140874 of the same V100 model. This 2nd set too failed to give me any service and in another month and a half, I had to again approach the electronics shop ibid. On their advice I lodged a complaint before the Onida workshop at Satyanagar, Bhubaneswar. The workshop manager having examined my set commented that the product V100 has failed to live upto expectation. Thereafter, from the godown at Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar, I was delivered yet another V100 handset on 19.01.2010. Even this 3rd set could not provide me any relief because it was as defective as the earlier ones and I continue to run from pillar to post for redressal of my grievance.

In these circumstances where I incurred unnecessary expenditure to the tune of Rs.4000/- in the last one year and continue to suffer a lot of stress and mental agony, I look forward to corrective steps to be taken by the authorities concerned at the earliest.
