Panasonic LCD TV
Cost of repair is almost equal to cost of a new TV!!

I purchased a Panasonic LCD TV from Vijay Sales, Goregaon, Mumbai in April for Rs 25, 000. After 15 months, a vertical straight line started appearing on the screen. When I complained to the company, they came back with a most absurd answer I can hear. The cost of fixing the problem is Rs 18, 000. The same TV is now available for around Rs 20, 000 and they are asking me to pay Rs 18, 000 to repair--all this within 15 months of usage. This is height of absurdity. I am a simple middle class guy and can't spend Rs 18, 000 to fix a TV. I don't know who to approach for this kind of treatment from Panasonic.
