Foods & Beverages sold @ price more than MRP

Seen that almost at all Railway Stations of Indian Railway, Atho. Contractors of IRCTC are selling cold drinks at price more than MRP. No one is knowing the actual rule of selling all foods and beverages @ MRP only. Many complaints are lodged with the concerend authority but no action so far by IRCTC on contractors.

Latest, one complaint is lodged with Station Master of ITARASI Rly Station (Complaint No. 38 dtd. 05.05.2010) against M/s Sattar Contractor, a IRCTC contractor running stall very next to the Station Masters office, selling coldrinks of MRP 22/- @ price of Rs. 25/- and the STATION MASTER was not aware of anything!!! In fact, he said no one has lodged such complaint in writting so far.

Let us see what kind of action Indian Railway & IRCTC take against such contractors.
