Non refund of amount of splint

During the treatment of my son I Purchased the leg splint from the hospital for cost of Rs.5700/- but after the discharge from the hospital they had not returned me the same nor refund me the cost of the same whereas they had returned me other instruments purchased during the treatment. I wrote them a number of times to return me the splint or refund me the cost of the same. They told me that they have destroyed after the treatment. How they have destroyed without my consent. I was the consumer of the hospital. Now I ask the hospital to return me the splint or refund me the cost of the same.
