On 17th Jan I visited Medi-Asist's office in connection the release of my relative from one of the network hospitals in Kolkata. The concerned hospital faxed the final bill around 11 a.m. The approval didnot came for hours and I had to run to TPA's office for getting the final bill approved. On reaching the office I was told to wait. I waited for more than 2 hours and no one bothered to inform me regarding the status of the claim. On repeated plea, I was told again to wait. I was getting impatient, as the patient who is 83yrs old, was waiting for getting released from the hospital.

Finally manager of the concerned company came and stated questioning me about my presence at his office and was rudely asked to leave their premises, as the approval shall take few more hours. The manager was rude and stated giving me long lectures.

I was shocked by the behavior of some senior person and a person of such designation with a person like me, being mentally exhausted in connection with the well being of the patient.

The final approval came around 5=30 p.m. at the hospital for half the claimed and I had to arrange for money after banking hours from various sources. Huge embarrassment from a TPA.
