Discontinuance of Milk Cards to Consumers

I have been a consumer of Avin milk over 30 years living in different parts of Chennai. Living in Vadapalani for about 20 years we used to purchase the milk through the monthly cards. In the early years I used the purchase the card directly from the Zonal/Depot office situated in Ashok Nagar every month. Subsequently for the sake of convenience families numbering 16 in our apartment complex decided to engage a person for delivery of milk packets at our doors. After sometime the delivery boy from a responsbile background offered to deposit the cash from all of us with the depo office and hence we started to entrust this work with this gentleman. Everything went on smoothly for a good number of years until about 4/5 years back. Suddenly we were told that due to heavy demand of milk Avin stopped direct card service and hence he offered to take the responsibility. Since we were not having our original cards issued by Avin we had to agree to the new arrangement since the person was responsibile. Subsequently this arrangemwent was transfered to a new delivery man by the original delivery boy certifying the bonafide. But the new man disappeared owing a few thousand rupees collected from us. Now we do not have our Avin Cards and are buying from the open market outlets at higher prices.
