Income tax refund returned undelivered

Dear Sir,

I checked on the online tax refund status and found that my Income tax refund cheque has been returned undelivered.

I had filed my returns in chennai as i was posted their on professional assignment.

In view of my transfer to bangalore the cheque was returned un delivered.

Post this I had personally met the Assesse offier Salary ward IV (2) at chennai income tax office and updated my new address in the system. The officer assured me cheque will be sent to my Banglore address. It has been more than 2 months since the address was updated in the system but still the cheque has not been sent to my address in bangalore.

I have sent emails to Postal department also in this regard but their has not been any reply forthcoming from them.
