It is disgraceful that Cadburys should release an ad. of the content mentioned above. Wherein a 10 yr old child is woken up to study at some godforsaken hour by his mother. Who first splashes water on the child’s eyes and then gives him a class of bournvita, to be able to sit and study. The discussion that follows is so pathetic in this time and age when the whole educational world is talking of multiple intelligences.
I am sure Sachin Tendulkar’s mother gets to hear more often than anybody else in the world –‘Who dekho Sachin ki Ma ja rahi hair” – and remember he is just 10th passed.
Einstein, Walt Disney, Bill Gates and many others have all done their Mother’s proud. Once again school dropouts!
Remember marks are not criteria for success.
A responsible company like yours needs to reflect on the impact an ad like this may have on children, who as it is belong to an exam driven marks oriented society.
Promote a society that is proud of its youth and stop rating success with marks.
You have a responsibility towards children.
