Compaq Presario 738TU laptop
Audio problem while connecting the headphone

I bought the compaq Presario 738TU notebook computer from one of the HP dealers in Siliguri, West Bengal in February. As it came with Free DOS I installed Win XP and installed all the drivers which i got by calling the customer care.

Everything was working fine until yesterday night when i tried to plug in my headphones. I could hear the sound on my headphone but to my amusement at the same time I could hear sound from my internal speakers as well. I don't know if there has to be any kind of setting to be done or not... Please help.
