Problem with HSBC advantage india fund growth

I had invested my money in the said fund on 26/05.

In july - 2006i received the first and last statement showing the units alloted to me.

After one year when i applied for redemption i was told that the cheque was reversed on 27/05 itself.

then how is it that when i go redemption i dont have my money in the fund?

i dont know what to do and where to go for my money that should have doubled by now to Rs. 30000/-. Even the people at HSBC are not ready to give my money back to me. What to do please guide/help me regarding the same.
