Unnecessary cancellation charges

Few days back icici lombard health insurances executive have called me and told about some health insurance policy and told that you can cancell it if you donot like but he had not told me about the cancellation charges, and when i have called them for cancellation they said you will have to pay 25% of the annual premium for cancellation of the policy, but the executive had not told about this term other wise i will not accept the policy in any case.

does we have to pay the cancellation charges if we have summited the policy within 30 days of time period?
