Drum got cut

4 yrs old ifb washing machine is not working, service men checked it. The reason given to us is drum got cut, The my complaint is how can drum can cut. What I feel there can be only one reason where drum can spoiled that has to be manufacture fault, i cant find no other reason, plz make a note and get back to us
