Dealer did not forward the cash to insurance company, and insurance policy is not varified

I got my insurance of my Maruti Alto Lxi (Up- 80- AV - 8400) renewed by "Triveni Motors Agra" on Dec 24th, 07, and paid them an amount of Rs. 6012 in cash (As they refused to accept check or card payment). They issued the insurance policy certificate as well (Policy number: 3352384 National Insurance/Maruti Insurance) the same day.

On Mar 13, 08 my car met with an accident unfortunatly, so I took it to Rohan motors Noida to get it repaired and completed the insurance formalities.

To my surprise I recieved a call from Rohan Motors in around three hrs time saying that my insurance is not varified due to some reason.

I called the insurance company and came to know that Triveny Motors paid through a check which was bounced so my insurance policy is not varified.

I have been calling everyone from Maruti to Triveny Motors to National insurance however no one seems to helping me out and my car is stucked at workshop as the workshop people are saying they will only start working on it once the insurance is clarified.

Now the status is that, triveny Motors has sent a check of around 7.5 lacks as they did the same to more than 100 policies. and Maruti has sent the list of policies as well as a scaned copy of the check to Insurance company however; they are not varifying it I do not know for what reason.

Feeling cheated and stucked as no one seems to taking the ownership of the issue.
